Now these are the top eight ranked universities of 2009 and you are probably wondering why these have rose to the top out of the hundreds of universities and colleges out there. There are many factors that come into play when trying to configure what colleges are top ranked. Some of the main factors that are taken into the decision such as the feel of the campus life, activities on the campus, the sports teams that the universities have, academic offerings, location, cost and the financial aid availability. They also take into account the attitude of students, the interactions between the faculty and the students and the graduation rate within four years.

Yet even though you may not get into the top eight or ten or even twenty colleges should not disappoint you. These colleges are not only the top universities in the United States but they are also the most expensive. If you can get into these institutions on scholarships, grants, financial aid and other forms of assistance then that is amazing but if you cannot afford these higher learning institutions then do not feel alone. Many people cannot afford to go to these places and that is understandable. The ways that these universities are measured and ranked are a good way for you to figure out what place is right for you. IF you combine our ranking techniques along with your intuition and feel of the campus that you go and visit, you will be able to make a great and informed decsion.
Finding the right university is a hard decision to make. You want to make sure that first and foremost they offer the majors and classes that you are interested in taking. That they also have programs, work studies, internships and even externships to help you flourish in the career of your choice. Once you have that then you want to be able to enjoy the campus for what it is, see if you feel connected to the place, how are the people? do you enjoy the professors? do you feel comfortable? These are questions that you want to ask yourself before you make the biggest decision of your life. No matter what university you decide to go to, as long as you feel secure and comfortable there and feel as though they will represent you properly and you will enjoy your time there, that is all that really will matter. Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life!
